I purchased an American Special Stratocaster with a maple neck. This is the first guitar I purchased without trying, and to be honest I was a bit apprehensive.

When it arrived (from the Corona factory), the store tech did a light setup. I was amazed with this guitar, the look, the playability, and through a Fender amp it sounded exact;y as a Strat should (it has Texas Special pickups).
