Asuming you're using Windows 98 SE or an equivalent, here we go.

I have Winzip. The time limit is a joke. I've had it for over two years and it works fine, but if you're paranoid about it, keep PK Zip.

Goldwave is telling you that you need and MPEG encoder/decoder. MP3 files are a type of MPEG file. If you have Windows you should have Windows Media Player. This application contains all the necessary encoders that you need for MP3 files. Maybe you have an old version. Go to www.microsoft.com to download Media Player 7.0. It's a hefty download, but it should take care of everything.

If you don't want to do that, just download all the encoders at the Goldwave website and place them in Goldwave's directory and all subdirectories to play it safe.
