I had a question on a gift certificate. I am thinking of buying a gift certificate for a buddy across the street, but after I buy it and print it out, how does he get logged on to the lessons to get started. What info do I need other than that his name is Lee? I plan on the 99.00 for six months. I am grandfathered in for 99. per year and my account doesnt expire until August 2018. Let me know what to do. Thanks

Hey John, great idea to give your buddy a gift certificate!

When you buy a gift certificate you can either print it out and give it to your friend, or enter your friend's email and we will email it to him. In either case, once he gets it he will use a unique code on the certificate to make an account on Guitar Tricks. It's a really simple process.

Thanks Ben. I printed it out and gave it to him. Hopefully I am right. I told him to go into the site and just click on full access and that would allow him to give his info and the certificate code. Am I right?

Hey John - he should actually go to GuitarTricks.com/gift and click the "Redeem" button at the bottom.

The instructions should be on the certificate though so he will probably see that and be fine.

Thanks for purchasing that and sharing Guitar Tricks with your friend!

I think entering his email is a much better option because he might lose the damn certificate. But, as soon as he has an email, he won't lose it, and he'll be able to access it anytime when he wants.
