The main thing you will hve to decide is the location of your effects. Do you want certain effects to run into both amps or just one? I created a basic signal chain diagram.

Yes, you can, but that means all your effects will run into both amps. Ironically, I think that Ditto pedal has stereo ins & outs, meaning that you could possibly use it as an AB box. :)
