I know plenty of people that have SE or S2 PRS guitars and are 100% happy with them. Yes, it's jus tlike Epiphone vs. Gibson, or Squire vs. Fender.

I've never laid my hands on an SE so I can't comment on what they are like personally. Hopefully somebody else can chime in on that.
