Hey. I've formed a band but we're having trouble deciding on a name. We play a little bit of everything. I want a name that could basically apply to any style. What do you all think about Stillwater? and does anyone know if that's already taken...

Personally, I feel its best for a band to come up with a name that showcases their personallity, its alright to take suggestions from others. But when it all comes down to it, your bands name is something that you have to be prepared to stick with, that is if you make it big someday, no matter how annoying it may be. I could run a few names by you, but just look around and think about what best defines the music that you guys make...

I believe Stillwater was (is ?) the name of a southern rock/blues group from the mid to late seventies or the early eighties. Don't know if they still exist. Good luck whatever you wind up calling yourselves.
