An interesting article with even more interesting comments.

"Marshall had been one of the few amp makers left to embrace digital modeling (its JMD:1 series of modeling amps still made use of tubes in both the preamp and power amp), but the march of progress finally caught. Marshall has released the $199 Marshall "Plexi" Super Lead plugin, the first and only software modeling plugin to bear the company name."

"It takes a lot of devotion and work, or maybe I should say play, because if you love it, that's what it amounts to. I haven't found any shortcuts, and I've been looking for a long time."

That's wayyyy too much money for a software plugin. I ordered a Zoom G5 for $299.00. ...including a few Marshall plugins, how many amp plugins are on that thing?

I always liked the Marshall sound but think they're way over priced. Nothing's changed. ...$199.00 for an amp plug-in, lol.
