I would try completely unplugging all pedals and just plug straight into the amp and see ho wit sounds. There could be dozens of different things that could be causing your drive channel to be muddy. I would first eliminate the pedals from the equation. If you're running an overdrive, distortion or fuzz pedal through a drive channel.... it could be making it muddy.
