As musicians, it's amazing how we could easily lose our train our thoughts. If I had it my way, I would travel all around the world, because personally, it's always been a dream of mine. Just to simply absorb my surroundings and experience life for all it has it offer, the only thing is, we're not always fortunate to bring along our rather 'large' collection of guitars.

But we all need a change of scenery! Living down here in Florida, of course there are many opportunities, (many of which I've taken advantage of over the past few years.) But I miss the change of seasons, the change of weather, and how it all reflects our personallity, simply our emotions. As traveling musicians, throughout this country, which state has provided the most inspiration for you? Based on scenery, the overall vibe, and of course the beautiful woman. Rock on!

My town has been a great inspiration for songs. In France, it is know that people from Marseille are first from Marseille, then from France. I would be sad to leave my town, or not being able to turn around and the "la bonne mĆØre" (the good mother) watching us...

As you can see, it dominates our town, and everyone, catholics, muslims, jews, atheists, see her as a symbol of protection. Now if everything was that simple!
People traditionally go there before an exam, to light a candle, or you go there after an accident if you didn't die, or if you recover from a big illness. Seeing all those 'thank you' written in stone in "la bonne mere" brings tears to my eyes when I go visit her.

It's a place I take visiting friends to, since you also have a 360 view over Marseille. Beautiful things bring inspiration.

I think 'La Bonne Mere' makes a much better ambassadress for Marseille than 'Irma La Douce' of Les Halles!

I lived in Oregon, where I have studied as a senior in High School.
If it wasn't for this, I wouldn't know about Jerry Garcia. If I remember right, the man lived in Eugene right?

His home was on tour, but yeah i think he lived in Eugene for a bit, cant quite remember. I know he lived in San Rafael for a while, and in the Haight Ashbury area, and a few other places along the west coast.

his art was quite present in the town I lived in, it was Corvallis, 12 miles form Eugene, if I remember right. The guitar shop was held by one of his former guitar tech.

I can understand where you're coming from. I visited places close to colorado a couple of years back and it was awesome stuff....that goes with the Grand Canyon and places in Arizona I've been to. Plus I've always loved the tribal and indian music from that area. The whole culture inspires me. I'd quite like to go south america to experience the music there too.

I live in Northern Ontario, Canada. Its quiet, peaceful and very beautiful. The forests are full of neat sounds and the lakes up there are the most breathtaking things you could see at dawn, clear as glass, and the skys go from orange to purple to blue with thin whispy clouds. Its so nice to just relax and take in the vibes for some inspiration.
And God said, 'Let there be rock!'
