I bought that '81 Ricky brand new for $445 in 1982. Very crisp sounding, maple body and neck, the "high gain" single coils give that Rick jangle, and it roars when driven; this ain't no one trick pony. Looks exactly like the common Rick bass.

Sad thing is I had a '73 480 (the original model year) that was ripped off in a burglary in '82.
