Where does this guy come from? Maybe his ego overrides his commonsense , either that or he thrives on getting attention by creating controversy. If the latter is the case , best thing to do is ignore him and let him and his ignorance fade into oblivion . I have two Maton solidbodes an MS500 { silkwood } and an MS 2000dlx { maple } , same body shape and bridge setup . Unplugged , there are noticeable differences in tone. Then there's my Gretsch solidbody { mahogany } completely different again.
