But from what I have read, only "Let it Be" may be considered a (solely) McCartney song. John Lennon wrote the major portion of the lyrics for "Day Tripper" and "Drive My Car"...maybe most. The music and rift of "Day Tripper" is credited to Lennon as well. In interviews both have commented that "Day Tripper" was a collaboration. The music of "Drive My Car" is pretty much Paul's, the lyrics are pretty much John's.

Others can chip in -- I'm no Beatles expert. I'm the dufus that passed up tickets to the first U.S. Beatles concert (the good, $4-dollar seats! :eek: ). But IMO to say the three songs are Sir Paul songs is a bit of a stretch.

Not that there's anything wrong with that. :)
