Getting into a guitar you need to change and replace parts right off the bat may not be the best idea. You're probably talking about $150 worth of new pick ups. Don't know what your ESP costs (nor do I have anything against them), but you might want to keep it simple to get started until you're sure a serious investment will be worth it in the long run. Just my opinion. :)


I got the ESP, had it looked at by a guitar tech ( who loved the excellent condition it was in ) but he also said not to worry about the tremolo arm at this stage and to just leave it off for now. I also won't replace the EMGs either. I'm learning to play the guitar right now and so active or passive is not a worry atm .
