Hmm, switching to Amps for a sec, Vox is a brand I see listed with regular 'stock' versions and then 'boutique handwired' versions at twice the price... Does Henry imply the boutique versions are less reliable?

[QUOTE=maggior]I took that to mean "renovate". My wife likes home renovation shows and they use the term "reno" all of the time. demo = demolition is another favorite - quite the opposite of what demo is usually used for :-).

That's the ticket. Made a new corian nut for it, and right on down to replacing the bridge and stop bar and got a noticeable increase in sustain. I forget what brand I used, but it had 20% more mass overall than what came on the guitar, which is a lot when you are only talking ounces to begin with. The only thing I didn't replace were the pots ;)
...so ever since then, I always hang on to the buckle.
