Hello Guitar World from New Jersey

Hey Everyone, I am a total newbie to the guitar world. I just got my first of many guitars to come for Christmas. A friend heard me talking about getting one and to my surpise, I got one. My first love is the piano and yes I do have one but, I always, in my heart, was curious about the guitar. Now that I have a guitar, I am so excited about learning how to play it and make music and play songs. At first, I thought I may be too old to learn but now, I am glad I decided to do it. And with The Lord guidance, he landed me here at Guitar Tricks. So to everyone here, happy playing and exciting times. And to the stuff at guitar tricks, thanks for a wonderful website and helping everyone to achieve their dreams and goals.

Since you mentioned that you'd like to learn to play songs, I thought I'd suggest a beginner-friendly tutorial for you that will start you out with a couple of songs that only use 1 chord (!), and ease you along from there.
