I went to my first 4 Amigos Texas Guitar Show this weekend. :)

I attended the Nashville one this past weekend. Saw some old acquaintences & made some new ones! I didn't take any pix, but I sure wish I had. There are a couple of sites with pix from other shows that give you the idea of what happens at these events.

Basically some new guitar builders & a whole lot of vintage gear on display. I don't think I've ever seen so many vintage guitars in one space in my life!

Here are some pix of previous shows by folks I found on the web.

Almost every booth of vintage gear was crammed with Les Pauls & Strats. I estimated each vintage booth averaged a minimum of $100,000 worth of guitars. No exaggeration. One guy had a 10' by 10' square section of floor space; which was his "booth". I counted 20 Les Pauls each worth between $5K & $30K. He had 5 Strats. One of them was an extremely rare 1962 blue headstock Fender Strat. I've never seen one, I didn't even know they ever made them like that. He had a little tag on it that read $125K. :)

Looks like there are more shows later this year in Chicago, SF, SoCal & Texas. It was a lot of fun! :)
