Hi, I have a son in Japan in the Air Force that recently purchased an acoustic guitar. I've had one sitting in the closet for the last 10 years and he inspired me to drag it out.
I checked out this website after having tried books, a cd, and an instructor way back when and this site looks promising. It looks like there's alot of variety and personalities so maybe I'll be able to hang in there longer than I have in the past, plus I can't let my son get ahead of me.Ha!

Anyway , Thanks and away we go!

Hello, fellow North Carolinian. Duke or Carolina? Or neither?

My favorite shade of blue is the darker...

I am in Pilot Mtn. But worked in G-boro until recently.

If I had spent the time that I could have practicing this site could have served me better than it has. My practice "routine" is anything but routine. I would be a bad student if I were taking private lessons and my instructor would have probably asked me not to return. :-)

But these instructor don't complain at all when I fail to practice as much as I should. They also don't charge nearly as much as private and they are always here.

I was at Pilot Mtn about 2 yrs ago. My son and I walked aroung the top (knob?). It has some great views. I like no complaing instructors also, but I need someone on my a$$ to keep me going. I'm gonna try.
