Cross Canadian Ragweed/Cody Canada and the Departed

I stumbled onto this band because of the Dierks Bentley lyric "ragweed's rocking on the radio, free and easy down the road I go" from the song that might be named "Free and Easy". Anyway, once I started finding some of there stuff on Youtube, I liked what I heard. The live videos are like most on youtube, varying audio quality.

They remind me of like Lynyrd Skynyrd if Lyn-Skyn had been from Oklahoma or Texas.

Ragweed split up and the lead singer is now with a new band called the Departed. It leans a little more toward country, but not country-pop like the current country stuff. Maybe Alt-country?

Just sharing, I like to occasionally find something I like by some means other than the big corporate music machine.
