Well I'm 52 and retired so I always wanted to learn to play guitar. I have 4 so I better start playing something before the wife sells them. I have an acoustic, Epiphone Les Paul II, Epiphone Strat and just got a Gitano Tele. I have a 25 Watt Laney Combo Amp and a VOX that gets used when the wife is watching TV. I was trying to learn from some books and DVD's but just couldn't get it so I thought I would try Guitar Tricks and found out right off the bat my technique was way off. I am quite surprised after about 5 hours of instruction here I have more of an understanding than the last 3 months of fumbling through with the "play in an hour" crap I purchased.. I am enjoying myself and can't wait to hit the lessons.. I definitely will be here past the 14 day trial.

I totally understand
I just found this site yesterday and really enjoy it.
I have a Martin D15 dreadnought.
Love the sound but I needed some motivation to play it right
Good luck!
