Hello everyone
I have started playing guitar again at age 60 after not having played since my teen years. My wife surprised me with a guitar for Christmas last year and it's been fun playing again. A side benefit of playing guitar again is that arthritis in my fingers has become less painful I kick myself for not having done this years ago, but better late than never. Guitartricks looks like it will be a great help for me as I learn, and in some cases relearn, playing techniques. I hope to join in on the forums here also as I go forward.

Happy New Year! Just joined GT and like some of you, I used to play as a kid, now 50-something, I have started playing again. I'm part of an all Girl rock band called OBT2 (OddBall Take 2). It's been very challenging and fun! I too have arthritis problems in both hands, one of which I have had surgery on. It's been difficult re-learning how to play, and I am looking forward to Using Guitar Tricks to re-learn how to play!

Thanks for the replies everyone! I'm sorry that you also have arthritis in your hands as well m0j0jo. My doctor told me exercise will not relieve arthritis pain, but it has sure worked for me. Hopefully over time you may see relief too. Even if my pain returns, playing guitar is too much fun to let it go. I won't quit.
