I am considering buying a Bulgera V 22 amp. If anyone has any experience with it I would love to hear your comments. Thanks.

Thanks Neal, I pulled the trigger at 15% off and MF should have one delivered by next week. I'll let you know how I like it. I have researched it pretty thoroughly. More good reviews than bad. Most of the bad were of a glitch in the older models which has been corrected. I bought a 3 yr. warranty along with it so if it is a bad one they'll replace or fix at no additional charges to me. I heard a comparison to the Vox 15 and my ears couldn't tell the difference. I was impressed with the tone, hope I like it live.

Denny,

Sounds like a good deal. New amps are always fun! Let us know what you think?

I too have this amp and love it, as do my jamming buddies, who threaten to steal it when they get the chance.

I have had my Bugera V22 for a few years and love it. I purchased it used, it was made in 2009. I use it several times a week. No gigging, just playing in my house and practicing. I was considering a Fender Blues Jr. which is an amazing sounding amp. However, I came across the used Bugera V22 at my local Guitar Center and when I tried it, I was hooked on the sound. I certainly could not justify the extra $$ for Blues Jr. The reverb sounds awesome, the gain leaves a little to be desired so I also use a Boss Blues Driver 2 pedal instead. Overall, I think the V22 is great sounding and an unbeatable value. Enjoy it!

Would this amp be too loud for playing at home?

To get a decent sound from the amp it needs to be cranked a bit. If your home is a field then no probs. I use a laney cub 12 it's 15 watts in a house that would almost blow the windows out. It has 2 inputs 15. Watts. And less than 1 watt so it can be cranked. Believe it or not I rehearse with a full band drums too and always use the 1 watt channel more than ample.

I bought my V22 for home use. One of the things I love about it is that it sounds good at lower volume levels.

Does it sound better cranked? Absolutely. But it sounds really good at lower volume as well.

Got it about a week ago and loved the sound. It arrived well packaged and there was no physical damage. But when I turned the bass up and hit the E string, it had a terrible rattle. Instead of contacting service, I decided to remove the back off of the cabinet and tightened all the screws internally as there were a number of them that were not snug. I attached the back cover and tightened these screws snugly also. This took care of the problem. I hope yours doesn't have the same issue, but if it does you might try this.
