I joined GuitarTricks a couple of weeks ago. Been playing in bands for 30+ years now. Originally on keyboards and vocals, I switched to (strumming) guitars for a while, and by necessity settled for e-bass about 9 years ago. I soon realized bass was really my instrument.
All my string playing was self-taught. A while ago I started to take bass lessons online and improved rapidly. Now, I decided to give my old guitars a new workout, but want to do better than just strike full chords. The wide range of lessons here and the self-paced approach look to be ideal for my practising style.
As a side effect, I hope to learn a few techniques, concepts, riffs, or licks that I can also take to the bass.
