Here's my theory about Malmsteen:
On the beginning he tried to play like Blackmore (that is still reflected), but he realized he cant so he started practicing scales and tried to make up leak of feeling with speed and created some mutant from him self :)

thats not realy true.. he could play all the purple songs when he was like 11 years old, but then he started to listen to all the classical stuff.. so basicly blackmore is his biggest influence in rock but not his biggest influence...
