This is a question relating to the forum, I'm not sure if it's the right place to post it but here goes.

When I open the forum usually my first action is to click on "New Posts". This is a very useful tool, showing all the posts since you were last on. The trouble is this facility only lasts a short amount of time and when you get through the first couple on new posts (and inevitably get distracted along the way!) the "New Posts" tab doesn't seem to contain all the post that were there when you first arrived and you're left wondering how to find them again :(

Is it possible to prolong the time new posts can be seen? Maybe until you leave the forum?

Thanks a lot.

Seconded. I often only stumble on missed post days or weeks later because someone happened to randomly post something new.

In the meantime, I have taken to staying on the forum page and using the Browser's back button to get back to the post list. This helps retain the unread flags at least until I actually do something to refresh the page (like closing the browser). Maybe that'll help.
...so ever since then, I always hang on to the buckle.

Yeah, I use the browser back button also Razbo but at some point, especially if there are loads of new posts or loads of 'distractions', it ceases to work as well. Then when you press 'New Posts' you seem to start over from a short while ago.

Is there a forum moderator who can help here please?

Cheers

There's nothing I can do about how the forum software works, but my personal work-around is to open links from the New Posts list in a new tab, so that the original search results are left undisturbed.
