rhoads had a very unique tone, but the winner for me would have to be slash or Lynch. the first time i heard velvet revolver i didn't know slash was in it, but as soon as i heard that smooth glassy tone, i knew it was him .

Lynchs tone is really recognizable as well as his style, i love those "death octave" scales he plays.
