A friend of mine's dad got some spots on a charter boat from a lumber yard, they give them away to their top buyers and sponser a trip. Caught 4 sea bass, only 1 was big enough though. So the question is if any of you guys know a good seasoning for it. I only know how to cook samon, cod, flounder, and blue fish. I never had it before and don't want a bad experience from poor seasoning.

If it were me (never cooked sea bass) I'd just grill it. Maybe a lil salt and pepper.. Serve w/ lemon and perhaps some finely chopped cilantro. Never over cook fish, as you probably already know.

When we cook bass out of our pond we use a lil salt seasoned salt pepper, and also sometimes we use this cuban sauce mojo that we usually put on pork and boston butt but it tastes really good, and you can get it from like winn dixie and walmart too

Honey. At least that's what we use for salmon. Cooked with just a lil olive oil, black and red pepper (or other seasoning of choice), and just a bit of honey drizzled before and after baking or cooked in a skillet...simple yet delicious!

Never tried honey before, I'll have to try that next time I cook fish. I had it tonight for dinner. I just put some salt, pepper, butter and lemon on it, cooked it on the grill. It was tassssttty. I haven't had baked salmon for a while though, I really need to ask my mom to pick some up next time she goes shopping. I love puttin pine nuts on it.

This thread just turned into your favorite fish recipies.
