Wood treatment.
I'm going to change the locking nut on my Dean since the licensed one on there is screwed in vs. the bolt on origional style (I swaped the licensed trem out for the origional as well.) But since I will be drilling the 2 holes and exposing some wood, do I have to treat the 2 holes with some sort of laquer, or can I just leave it be?

I would recommend sealing the exposed wood. If you don't this will be a route for moisture to get inside. Some polyurethane on a q-tip should do the trick. Just make sure to let it dry completely before putting the nut on.

Loc-tite would work also, though I dont' know if it'd permanently keep the bolt in the wood or would be bad for the wood. I should try it on some junk wood someday.
