custom strat

got pics from guy who built a strat...getting it Saturday...if it plays well of course


1. Solid ash body 60'S fender strat design; 3 routes in the body... ( hsh)
2. USA Vintage tremolo system I believe out of an 80's American Stratocaster
3 Pick up Fender Custom shop. ( ver hot)
4 String tree (usa) block style
5 New 250 ohm pots fender USA .2um capacitor
6 Fender 3 ply black white black pick guard very fine scratches from playing probably will polish out.
7 New 9 - 48 strings installed
This guitar was made of parts I have had over the past few years. All quality parts . The body weighs 4.5oz ( body alone) I have not weighed the total weight of the guitar at this time I would estimate 7.6oz

Not bad... Not bad at all.

I think he has pounds mixed up with ounces. I would really like to see a full sized electric guitar that was just over half a pound! My back and shoulders would be in heaven then :p

That looks like it was put together by someone who cares. If you get it (and I do think it's worth considering), you should visit >GuitarNuts< and learn how to ground a system properly.

The article called "Quieting The Beast" is recommended reading for anyone who hopes to reduce the noise picked up by their guitars. I cringe when I see how much work someone has put into doing it wrong. ~sigh~
