your question is a tricky one, as there is no right or wrong answer
Depending on who you are going to talk to, they might play the 7 or not, or make the 9 a second(one octave lower) in jazz, there are no rules for this, and if there are, they are constantly broken...
As for playing the 7 or not, just trust your ears, it might had something to your song, or might take something away...
