Hi ,

I've been away from this fourm for a while, mainly due to an increase in photo assignments over the past weeks.

The moment I have an opening in my schedule, I slap together this little piece. First time using "sequencer" in my recordings. The Garage Band things is really cool.

Well, here it is, only one gtr track ( 2 if you count left and right tracks ..hahah) all done in one take.

Title: iBlues (main)

Comments and critic are most welcomed.

just in case you are wondering why there is a crossover at the beginning, it is the 'warm up' session on the gtr.

That was some mighty fine playing you did there! I enjoyed all of the variation you put into the different lead passages... kept me very interested and wondering what was going to come up next. Nice job bud!

Thanks a lot :) It really means a lot coming from a musician whom I've come to respect.

Ya, I was trying to work out different phrasing on a simple theme. Phrasing is one of the many things I have yet to get a hang of.

When I heard the playback of this take, I wanted to do lots of punch-in to fix many many many of the mistakes. But compared to the other takes, this one, I thought, had more raw aggression to it. So I just kept the whole take.

Anyway, the backing track is still around and I can always do another take next time. For now, this is it :)

In. Sane. Chops.

Wow, man. You're like a better version of Larry Lalonde from Primus.

My band is better than yours...

Thanks Jolly! I'm happy you like the song.

Sorry I don't know about Larry Lalonde and Primus but I manage to check it out online, and from what I have read, I feel really flattered that you mentioned him and me in the same sentance :)

Rock on!

Nice mix up of ideas, I particularly liked the solo break starting at 1.30 nice exotic sound. I've been looking at adding some electronic sounds myself, good to get away fom the average sounds. Cool retro section at arpund 2.30 into a kind of funky passage - I really like the mix of styles. Good job!

Thanks for all the encouragements! I really appreciate it very much.

To think that there are people that actually spend precious time to sit and listen to my music gives me a great feeling and I am really grateful for that.

Bro I like it very much... ripping tone there.

I'm gonna say this but don't get too much air in your head...

It sounds pretty Satriani-ish.

The bass line reminded me something a bit heavier, I would love to hear it with some pounding round bass (Stuart Hamm kinda sound).

Pretty impresive bro... congrats.
Power corrupts. Absolute power is kinda neat.

Wow good stuff. Really impressed with how many distinctive runs you came up with.
