Slash soloing
Could somebody tell me what scales does Slash use, what notes does he usually add to those scales, and other stuff that could be important?

He typically uses mostly pentatonic scales, though sometimes using modes of the major scale in his more melodic solos (november rain, sweet child of mine, etc.). He will sometimes also use harmonic minor. In Sweet Child of Mine the second part of the solo switches from the key of E to D harmonic minor. The last part of November Rain is in harmonic minor as well. Oh, he sometimes uses the blues scale too (added flat fifth to normal pentatonic). Hope this helps...

To improve technique and of course trying to keep all as clean as possible. I know my own limits and speed limits and so on I never play anything I'm not capable of. That wouldn't make any sense. After three years of playing I tried to play everything as fast as possible and that sounded, I would say, like shit, and I didn't realize that if I'd play bit slower things than I was capable of playing then everything would sound much better.

Thanks a bunch. Oh yeah, if the file is too big, hotmail might not accept it, so if it doesn't go through the first time, forget it.
