This is something that's been bothering me for a while. When choosing pickups to got with another, does DC resistance play a part in deciding. I know that it dosent have anything to do with tone, but is it a factor when calibrating pickups? I have read that if the DC resistance if twice the other pickup, then it will be overpowered.

DC resistance is easy to measure, so it gets used as a way to compare pups, but >this< is the real story.

Ah, quite an eye opener. Bit confusing though, remindes me how much I hate physics.
