I admit wrestling sounds worse than pretty much any other competative activity, but there's nothing gay about it. I don't believe that a more competative sport exists. The 'tights' are called singlets and one of the main reasons they're worn is because loose clothing (t-shirts, basketball shorts, etc) creates a huge risk of finger breakage. They're also surprisingly confortable.
