I don't mess with Floyd Rose trems.... ever.... Mostly for that reason and the fact that most people that have FR trems don't even know how to use them properly anyway... I just stick to my good ol' strats.... I've never wasted a string while stringing her up... And I too use a set of ZW Boomers... They sound great for blues too, not just metal or hard rock.
