This site stinks!!! bad
Ok so, you guys say this is free, ok i sign up. I try to take a lesson and it says this lesson is only for highbandwidth users, and so does ever lesson i try, and yet your high bandwidth membership cost money, WHATEVER HAPPENED TO "FREE"

Some are free there Chief. People put their time and efforts in to make these for you. Dont be cheap and pay your 5 bucks and quit whining.

every page that has a list of lessons has 2 for free. it totalls up to about 150 free. check it out.

Four years ago I couldn't hardly stand on my guitar legs. Today I can sweep, my tapping is pretty good, my overall knowledge of guitar is vastly improved. Not to mention the great people I've met here in the forum. The five bucks will seem like nothing once you are on the inside. ;)

I signed up here quite a while back. Then I left for a while and eventually came back. Once I came back and realized that this site was indeed the best and had the best group of people as well, I signed up for high bandwidth. Sometimes I find myself posting or chatting when I should be playing. :D
I am a constant evolving music machine. Oh Man, I just forgot what I was playing. Oh well, on to the next song. :rolleyes:

I dunno, I like it here. The people here really know their material well so if you've got a question the chances are there's someone that can tell you what you want to know. Furthermore the lessons do what they do quite well. I don't find $5 to be hard to dish out since it's only once a month and I figured if I can feel good about paying $5 on ebay for "stuff" froms some guy's pocket, then I should have no quarrel with putting that same amount towards something like the guitar... or at least something that involves the guitar. Any who, there you have that. Just my opinion though. Not everyone's gonna like the same websites, so, y'know.

Not everone can acctually do that, At least let us have the freaking text back.I can understand when you said Video and Mp3 take alot to host but GOD give us the actual TEXT for the lessons jeez. All my respect for this place has gone.

I believe there is text. Last time I checked there was a written description of the lesson as well as tab. What do you want for nothing? :rolleyes:

yeah on a select 150 lessons out of what is it? 2500?
What do i want for nothing? Well at one time for nothing we got Every lesson and the mp3's to go with them.

Well that is not actually true.
When this site was free:
1) there was no video at all
2) there was a daily cap on the number of MP3s you could download (and boy did we get some crap for that, even though it was free)
3) the vast majority of lessons have text and tab.
4) the sight was loaded with pop-up adds and banners to try and pay for the bandwidth served (and boy did we get some crap for that, even though it was free)
5) If you don't like it, quit wining, you know where the door is !
Maybe now would be a good time to ask your self "what have I contributed to GT ??"
If you want to pay for the upkeep of GT, Im sure Jon would: 1) let you and 2) be overjoyed to make the GT free again ! It would probably only cost you a couple of grand a month. Oh, did you not realize bandwidth and web housing on a site that gets 5-10 thousand hits a day costs money.

Due to the MPA lawsuit craziness, we've had to move the tabs out of the free access areas to keep from being shut down by lawyers. Not much else we could do... Most pure tab sites have been wiped out completely! Sorry 'bout that.

that's right...most of the sites that provide free tabs are beginning to shut down...geez be a little considerate won't u... this site has alot to offer and i think it's a great place to learn... u cheapo...

hey, I love this place...I am unable to become a high bandwith member...my bank has a problem with direct debits to/in Us currency...bloody South Africa!
But still, the knowledge I gained from this site before high bandwith, and what I continue to gain from all you cats on the forum...it doesnt stink hey.
