What do you guys think about this guy, and his overall contributions to the music industry? I'm sure you guys can't forget his famous opening bass line intro in Ozzy Osbourne's "No More Tears," and this guy has really given Alice In Chains a much needed kick in the ass.
Its been rumored that he just might be the replacement for Jason Newsted of Metallica, what do you guys think about this possibility, and if this is true what does it say for the future of Alice and Chains?

I've never really thought of Mike Inez as that great an influence. He's surely a name, but compared to even Geezer Butler? I mean "Generals gathered in their masses..." those Geezer's words, not Ozzy's (as is most Sabbath lyrics). And how manny Sabbath songs do we all sing along with? Maybe it's because I haven't got around to picking up any of Ozzy's solo albums yet, but Inez doesn't stike me as a huge influence. As for AiC, they started without him, they can keep on much the same way.
