Dude, I freaking loved that game. I had them all at one point. My reigning team could trounce anyone's ass at any given time. Then, like you said, they had to go and queer it up and lose their innovation. Seriously, some of the later ideas they had were just stupid. I was partially expecting to see a gonorrheachu show up sooner or later it was getting so ridiculous.

Pokemon seriously was amazing. The original 3 were great, and as its been said they had to overdo it.

isn't pokemon fire red and leaf green supposed to be exact remakes of the original red and blue? if so, I'm picking one up one of these days/
over the course of pokemon, I owned: blue, yellow, and gold.. blue and yellow were great, gold was kinda fun, but there were too many new pokemon that I didn't know, so it wasn't as fun. blue and yellow kicked ass though... even though yellow was like the exact same as blue except you get to start with pikachu instead of the choice of the usual 3: charmander, bulbasaur, squirtle... I always picked charmander, cause it was hardest since the first two gyms were rock and water.

Yes, theyre the same thing. Ive played Fire Red. Pretty friggen sweet...I always chose Bulbasaur or Charmander. Squirtle was a pussy.

Hell yeah to Charmander. It was easily the best of the three. Over all, though, my favorites were the psychic. Alakazam and Mewtwo were my all time favorites.
