When was it that "no" became the standard?

What god delights in his walls,
his invisible boundaries,
None can cross?
Is this some act of mercy?
That men squander their lives
While all the time hearing No.

Nor within any reason should they
If any reason should present itself
And always the reason ends with No.

Which we dread so deeply

mann i remember when i was a newbie to this site and jolly would have tons of new songs on here all the time... it was increible
