Actually rocks can be your friend too...I was once walking in a pasture with some horse of my uncle's. So the horse didn't know me, and I was a little kid and ignorant in the ways of horses and such. So it was cool with me and we were petting it and such...but then having the attention span of a kid I started walking around the horse to it's ass end. Then I see a pretty rock on the ground (I collected them back then). So I bend down to pick it up, and right then the horse bucked it's back legs. All I heard was the disapproving neighing (that there was a stranger in it's blind spot) and the whooshing sound of legs going over my head. Surely I missed out on some serious pain and/or disfigurement. Well I can't say I missed out, but yeah.
