aaron lewis from staind wrote a very deep song called 'outside' and it was a great song... but why the hell is fred durst in it?!? i mean he serves no purpose what so ever and it REALLY annoys me that the only reason alot of people like the song is because fred durst is in it! hello people fred durst cannot be heard! he is just there to feed his ego.. thats a shame.. a great song like that and fred durst gets all the credit.

I agree with you man all the way. Its hard to believe that Fred found Staind. They are so much a better band than Limp Bizkit.

Fred Dirt is just a punk. Anyone who likes him or his silly noise, would also like someone banging on a wash tub if that was the new rage of the age. Music has gone out the window with most of today's youth. Yall are right, Fred Dirt should have gotten the hook on that one. Let's see those lighters yall...

All I have to say is that Fred Dirst, just like almost every other rap/rock icon or rapper, has no musical talent and I think it's a shame that he can get so famous from his "music." Though, most of it is because of his image.
Rock and roll ain't noise pollution, but it can get pretty crappy these days.

Staind had a lot of filler it seem to me on there CD... whatever it's called "the biggest waist of money of my life" or something like that. Half of there songs sound the same, and the the other half sound like each other. The only two decent songs are Outside and It's Been a While.

Im not a durst lover or anything, and staind(i have to admit)is pretty good, but i read this thing in guitar magazine that Dred Furst helped him right the song, well or helped him along with the medley. I dont know, and he asked him to go out on stage with him. But none the less fred durst sux ass and he steals the publics riffs, the riffs they worked hard for. Sorry i had to say that

fred durst - "It's MAIIEGH WAAY!!"

linkin park - "maaaiighh skiiieeeennn!!!"
and "maaaaiggghh laaaiiiffeee"

these sad excuses for noise are far worse that castrating a cat with a hot iron...

that about sums it up there...but incubus and staind and urine stench and skidmarks and drag strips and runways and slipknot and all those other one-use-and-throw-away tampons are a sad excuse for rock or music in general...just pure glam, nothing to back it up - well unless you count all the little runts frolicking to get their hands on the newest fecal introversion movement sweeping up all their frinds and "in crowds"...

don't get aggrevated about this sewer waterslide, it's gonna continue in some form or another whether you like it or not...just let the clueless parade to their own detrminent...

...hey that's what you get, 12-16 year olds are the ones that buy all the cds, and all the garbage at that...I can't imagine how big the piles of plastic in garbage dumps will be in 20 years time...

There's nothing wrong with Incubus, and I'm sure we could just totally trash whatever "superior" music you listen to.

What really realy pissed me off was when they were looking for another guitarist and you sent in a song to them you gave away your song writing credits. Ok I could live with that (sorta). But then they had the right to use it as there own song without any credit given to the author. What's even worse was when they would give guitar clinics at the guitar center to jam with a guitarist to see if they would fit in their band...they wouldn't even show up.

BASTARDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I started learning guitar because of Randy Rhoads..but Yngwie J. Malmsteen is my biggest influence.

back to incubus, you know these guys actually are pretty cool, and although they are overplayed and are thrown into that mainstream category, you shoudl download anythign from their older albums, like fungus amongus, s.c.i.e.n.c.e, etc... they used to be a jazz band, and there older stuff is really funky. is actually quite appealing.

Not that I have anythning wrong with mainstream music...it's just I'm very picky about good musicianship and refuse to get into a debate about this. Just my oppinion and I definately won't name any bands.

That guy posporo has no idea what he is talking about. Yea there are bands out there like what he was saying but none of the examples he said came close.

Nice to see that folks know how to reign in roudy posters without getting dirty. It makes me feel better about not having internet at home yet. When I saw what this thread was about I was certain I'd have to throw down some of my Full Contact Moderation by now.

PS: Anyone who thinks that Incubus has no talent should try to play the bass solo in Redefine some day. Let us not confuse taste for lack of talent.
