This is bound to be an old topic, but it's something close to my heart, (or head if you will...)

It's finally happened...my long locks of glorious hair have been viciously hacked off. I'm not bald as such, but it kinda feels that way...I'll tell you what too...end of October is a cold month...

On the upside, I now look like I'm twenty, (which I am!), instead of in my mid-thirties, so that's a bonus...plus it should stop the "Jesus" or "Bee Gee" look a like comments, so I guess it's not all bad.

(I know it's just hair - it'll grow back...hell, I've still got my health!) I'm just in the mood for a bit of a whine. Having thought about it whilst typing this thread, there's much more dire things happening in the world...suddenly, I realise it's not such a big issue.

Thanks guys for letting me get that off my chest and pulling my head from my own backside... :)
Don't worry too much about me, ignore me long enough and I'll go away.

Oh, I know one or two... :D (at least I hope I still know them now!)

As long as I don't look out of place in a mosh pit or on stage rocking out, I'm not too concerned. My goatie should hold me in good stead I reckon.

And what's wrong with being a hippy exactly? :p

You'd be allowed in. Whether you come out with all your faculties in tact is a different matter entirely... :p

I have long hair down past my shoulders. I never made the decision to grow my hair out, I just never got around to getting it trimmed.

In all likelyhood, I will be in your shoes very shortly.

My hair is going to charity, though.

grr. the person who cut my hair last sucked! my gorgeous hair is so retarded looking now! it's like long on top, and short on the sides... and... it's kinda like a bowl cut... and I hate it... and I want it to grow back... faster!

btw, I asked for something completely different, and even showed her a picture... dumbass

Well, if it's going, it might as well go for a good cause - I did think of doing that, but I couldn't bring myself to go for the full 'bic' affect, ala Satriani...Maybe next year when the bald patch really starts kicking in... :(

I was quite lucky, my sister's a hair dresser and actually has some sense of what a "rock-guitarist" should look like...look on the bright side 6strings, at least it will grow back - and you know not to go to that hairdresser again! Bowlcut though?...anyone else thinking The Beatles?... :p

I cut my long hair a few days before I turned 21. It felt funny for a few days, but then I remember feeling so light and kind of relieved.

well, it's not exactly like a bowl cut, as I don't style it that way... when I walked out of the place, she had put goop in it and slicked it back so it looked like it came from the movie "grease" it was all 50's slicked back type of thing... ugh

That is exactly how my hair looks, I even have the sideburns, only my hair is brown. Now I guess need to get a leather jacket
