hold your pick firmly, while plucking the string with the pick, brush the lower half of your thumb lightly across the string. it works best when you bend the note with your fretting hand. also try it on your 6th string 3rd or 4th frett or your 3rd string 12-15th frett. don't be disapointed if it doesn't work at first. keep practicing it. also if it doesnt work at first, try to hit the string harder, softer, faster or slower....the attack you have on the string matters. i hope this helps you out.
