I have gibsons n marshalls but I never get as much treble as he does live... I guess he has his tech tap dancing back stage though.
I know slash revalved his JCM800... and replaced the speakers with... umm.. greenbacks? I think! Whatever they are!
The trouble is though that it always feels like my tone is too muffled... like the presence is way down... even when its way up. I just wondered what I could do to make a sharper tone.
You know how a wah used as a filter sounds, really sharp, like that. I do use my wah as a filter for a lot of solos, I know slash does that too, but it leands itsself to a lot of feedback because I can only get 5 metres awway from my stack in my room!
