Hmm, If you really want to go the whole nine yards, get a jazz book. Doesn't have to be a guitar book. Mark Levine's Jazz piano theory book applies to guitar fine. Helps if you read standard notation. If you really want to understand harmony and scale/chord soloing, get into jazz man.
