What's everyone's idea of the ultimate supergroup/band? This has probably been beat to death, but it's always fun to see who everyone would choose..

Here's my idea of the perfect band....
Vocals: Chris Cornell
Guitar: Zakk Wylde
Guitar: Slash
Bass: Jason Newsted
Drums: Vinnie Paul
Check out my band:
Havoc Din

Hmm... well, in that case, I need to shake up my lineup a bit, too, then:

Vocals: Steve Adler
Guitar: Jewel
Rhythm: Bob Dylan
Bass: John Bonham
Drums: Tom Hanks
... and that's all I have to say about that.

Vocals: Maynard James Keenan

Guitar: Steve Vai

Guitar: Tony McAlpine

Bass: Billy Sheehan

Drums: Virgil Donati

Pretty much the Steve Vai band, minus Dave Weiner and adding Maynard to the mix. It would be pretty awesome in my books.

Let's have a shot:
Steve Vai
Buckethead
Dave Lombardo
Les Claypool
I don't know if they really need a singer, it would be fun to hear Les and Steve singing together. They might use the singer from Mars Volta.
Impendance is fruitfull

Vocals - Freddy Mercury of Queen and Janis Joplin
Guitar 1 - Jimi Hendrix (without a doubt)
Guitar 2 - Kirk Hammett of Metallica
Bass - Jako Pastorias (is that how you spell it?)
Drums - Ginger Baker of Cream

Songwriters - Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney and Paul Simon

Mixer - Eddie Kramer (mixed for Beatles, The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Led Zeppelin, Kiss, The Kinks, and mixed the original Woodstock album).

Although this is a list of my most talented artists, if put together they would not necassarily be successful, because it is all about how the groups work together and how they write songs together. This is why I included a list of songwriters.
