I just wanted to get you guys opinion of all these online resources that
will host your MP3's for a price (usually something like $14.95 per
month).
They claim that you can get access to industry professionals, advertise
you music and get your own band page etc etc......
They have pretty pages like this one:

.. and seem very enticing and promising, but....


Are these places worth it or just a major rip off?

Like, I can sign up with my own ISP and set up a page just like this and
advertise my own music in the same way.


I guess what I'm getting at is... are all these places just money making
web sites to scam naive musicians?
Can I set up a web site of my own and get the same results?
