I just bought Mexican Fender Squier strat at a pawnshop for $70. Great condition, no rust, no fretwear, no scrathes or cracks....Not a great guitar I know, but $70, I couldn't pass it up..
Anyway, the logo on the headstock says Fender, then at the tip of the headstock, it has Squier series written really small. Every Squire I've seen has Squire written large and fender written small.....

Is this an older model or something?

I might be wrong but I think that is a really early Squire from just after Fender had bought them out in the mid 80s

I was thinking that too...I called Fender, gave them the serial number and they said it is a '95 model. The Rep said they did that logo thing on the headstock for a year or 2...
